Panoramic Photos

This week-long assignment was a mentally exhausting process. The first thing I did was watch videos on how to create panoramic photos. Then, I had a trial run and took pictures of semi interesting scenes to see how they merged on Photoshop. The first few tries didn’t go so well. They merged incorrectly because I didn’t leave enough space for the images to do so. I then tried again the next day and used a long lens to shoot all of my photos. I zoomed in on my subjects instead of taking landscape views. This was a mistake I wish I had foreseen because all my images on Photoshop resulted in looking like long photos instead of panoramas. Although I was bitter and disappointed, I learned for the better and eventually created my first panoramic. The most challenging part of this assignment was looking for creative scenes to take pictures of. It was hard not to be repetitive with the photos since this was in a school environment and there wasn’t much to see besides the trees, buildings, and sky. Although being pretty simple, the whole process in creating panoramas obliterated the little creativity I had left in me. I tried my best, I learned a lot, and I am content that it is now over.
